Seasons, Season Seasons.

As I sit here on New Years Day, reflecting on everything that made up the previous year, and anticipating everything that the coming year has in store, I can’t help but be reminded of some wisdom that was passed along to me by a friend from years past. As I stepped out of my training role at my job and into a recruiting role, I began looking at opportunities to connect with resources that had the potential to bring me leads for recruits. One such outlet was the Central Florida Christian Chamber of Commerce. As I began to get involved, I developed a friendship with the president at the time, Mr. Mark Goldstein. As we got to know each other, Mark shared with me a thought process that had guided him for some time; “Seasons, Season Seasons.”

It was a fun play on words that admittedly made me smile. But the more we discussed it, the more the deeper meaning behind it emerged.

In each calendar year, there are generally four seasons. Depending on where you live, some of those seasons may be shorter or longer than others. And in certain areas, like where we live, some of them may seam non-existent. But even in those areas, the season we are in, is always a little nicer because of the season we came out of. For example, we are currently in winter here in the sunny state of Florida. The temperature as I write this is a cool 61 degrees. Which feels amazing, since the summer we came out of had reached highs in the upper 90’s with a humidity index that made it feel like we were under water. However, we’ve had these temps for a little while now, and their starting to feel a little chilly. Making us anticipate the warmer temperatures that will come along with summer. Each season seems to make the next a little better, regardless of which season we are in.

Like the weather, our lives too have seasons. As Christina and I look back on 2024 and reflect on the lessons we learned both professionally and personally, we find ourselves anticipating the coming season with excitement for what it has to offer, because of the lessons we learned in the previous season. We are excited about how we can apply the lessons learned, so that we can make 2025 even better than 2024. Don’t get us wrong, 2024 was pretty great. But we are confident that 2025 will be even better, because of what 2024 was.

As you move into the new year, it is our hope that your previous season, will season the next, making it your best season yet!! God Bless and Happy New Year!!
